What Sam is
Sam is an English teacher built with artificial intelligence. It talks with you by voice, corrects you and plans your classes. Like any AI, it can make mistakes: treat its corrections like a good teacher's, not as a level certification.
Free talks and subscription
- Your first 3 talks are free.
- After that, Sam requires a monthly subscription of US$12.99 (the App Store shows the final price in your currency) that includes 30 talks a month, up to 10 minutes each. Unused talks don't roll over.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically every month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Acceptable use
Sam is for practicing English. Don't use it to generate illegal or harmful content or content that violates others' rights, and don't try to abuse the service or its limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your data
How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. You can delete your account from the app at any time.
Changes
If we change these terms or the price, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. A price change never applies to a period you already paid for.
Apple's agreement
In addition to these terms, Apple's standard license agreement for apps applies.
