Baby Duo is a newborn routine log for the two people actually living it. No forms, no menus, no waiting for anything to load. It works with no signal, and what you log shows up for your partner as soon as there's a network.
One tap and it's done: the feed, the diaper or the nap is logged. If you need to fix the time or note the millilitres, hold the button and the detail sheet opens.
Without typing
Left breast, right breast or bottle. The breast is timed without putting the phone down; the bottle is noted in millilitres. And if you remembered late, the time can be corrected.
Without a signal
Everything is saved on the phone first. Logging still costs one tap, and what you logged uploads on its own once the network is back.
Without recounting the night
There are no two histories to reconcile. It doesn't matter who logged it: the information belongs to the family and syncs on its own.
While the baby sleeps
The sleep stretch counts itself on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so nobody has to watch the clock.
With a newborn you have one hand busy and the other holding a bottle. Almost everything Baby Duo does can be done without even unlocking the phone.
Feeds per day, average interval, hours of sleep and diaper counts. Sleep stretches that cross midnight are split across both days — which is the difference between a pretty chart and one you can show a pediatrician.
Breast or bottle feeds with a stopwatch or millilitres, diapers, sleep, bath, medication and weight. Swipe a row to fix it or delete it.
Eight short guides on the first weeks: how much milk by age, what diapers look like week by week, the milestones of year one, what to pack in the bag, and three on US hospital checks and checkups, labelled as such.
Every figure says where it comes from — AAP, CDC, NHS, WHO — and every guide ends with its sources and with what has to be said: they do not replace your pediatrician. The warning signs guide, what never to do and when to call, is free and sits behind no paywall.
No subscription, no renewals. A newborn app gets used for 18 or 24 months, and charging a yearly fee for that looks a lot like charging twice.
Everything else, including logging from the widget and the warning signs guide, is free.
Baby Duo has no ads and no advertising tracking, and nothing you log ever leaves your family: your entries live on our own server in Germany and only people in your family can see them. The app does send reports when it crashes, and which screens get opened, which is what lets us fix it; it tells you before it starts and you can turn it off in Settings.
You sign in with Sign in with Apple, so you never even give us a password. Read the privacy policy.
